Head of PR: Mahalia Mingo
Mahalia completed VCE in 2016, her love of English and Literature led her to begin studying a Bachelor of Communications, majoring in Public Relations at RMIT. Often the go-to girl for all things media, PR, events and social media, Mahalia opted to join RESN's Leadership Team as she firmly believes that your education should not be affected by your location. Her three years experience as a PR, Social Media and Copywriting Manager roles could be a use to the RESN portfolio. Mahalia hopes to be an inspiring leader for her close knit team and the RESN community in their joint passion for equal education.
Hannah is an outgoing Jewish gal studying Journalism and a Master of International Relations at Monash University. With over eight years in radio broadcasting and presenting, writing for print and television hosting and reporting, Hannah has a passion for educating, entertaining and inspiring through the media. She's excited to use her experience and skills to bring RESN to more students in new and interactive ways.
Ella completed the IB in 2018 and is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma of Languages in French. She chose to take a gap year after school, during which she worked at a school in England. Ella has always been passionate about equal access to a quality education, regardless of factors such as race, gender and location. This is what drew Ella to RESN.
Seerat graduated with the VCE in 2016 and currently studies a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) / Commerce (majoring in Marketing Science) at Monash University. She has volunteered in a number of roles, including being junior high school tutor for minority and refugee students throughout her senior years of high school. Seerat’s love for public relations developed in her first year of university, and she has been developing her knowledge in the area both in and out of the classroom ever since. She values education deeply, and believes in RESN’s ability to give all students access to outstanding tutors and so she is excited to be able to see RESN thrive by helping in developing its public relations.
Xenia completed VCE in 2018 and is studying a Bachelor of Arts at Monash, majoring in journalism. Her experience as a first-generation immigrant and a student at an underrepresented school made her a strong advocate for equitable education. By sharing stories and ensuring people's are voices heard, she wants to see a world where every opportunity is accessible, no matter where you live.
